WHAT TO EXPECT

What Your First Year Looks Like

No surprises. Here is every step, what your team does, and what you have when it's done.

The 8 Steps of Year One

Year one runs from a 30-minute Fit Call to a 2-day Annual Summit, with Base Camp, monthly guidance and three Quarterly Lookouts in between.

  1. Fit Call (30 minutes). We talk about where the business is and where you want it. I tell you honestly whether I can help. No pitch deck.
  2. Agreement and scheduling (week 1). If it's a fit, we pick Base Camp dates and put all four sessions for the year on the calendar.
  3. Pre-work (2 to 3 weeks before Base Camp). Each leader completes the Pinnacle Baseline Assessment and a short questionnaire. I review everything before we meet.
  4. Base Camp, Day 1. We lay out the brutal facts, assess the team and its ability to climb, and set the culture foundations. You leave with: An honest picture of where you are and who's in which seat.
  5. Base Camp, Day 2 (and 3 for larger teams). We cast vision, define purpose, and set your 3-year picture, 1-year plan and first 90-day priorities. You leave with: A written plan your whole team built and owns.
  6. Monthly guidance. Altitude Checks (Private) or the open Guide call (Group) keep priorities moving and catch issues early. You leave with: Decisions made, not just discussed.
  7. Quarterly Lookouts (months 3, 6 and 9). A full day to review the quarter, solve the biggest issues, and set the next 90 days. New tools are added each quarter. You leave with: The next quarter's priorities, owners and dates.
  8. Annual Summit (month 12). Two days to step back, reset the vision, raise the bar and plan the year ahead. You leave with: Next year's plan and a team that has done this once already.

What Do We Ask of You?

  • Protect the dates. Moving sessions is the top reason this doesn't work.
  • Bring the whole team agreed on at kickoff.
  • Do the work between sessions. I guide. Your team executes.

What Does It Feel Like?

The first quarter is usually uncomfortable. You'll see issues you've been avoiding. By the second Lookout, the goal is shorter meetings, clearer priorities, and fewer decisions landing on the owner. We measure it together.

Next: pricing, is it a fit?, or book a Fit Call.

Step One Is a 30-Minute Call

No pitch deck. An honest answer.
